Rope Jewellery

One more of my favourite visits in Cape Town, The Southern Ropes Factory Shop
offers a huge variety of colourful ropes, twines, braids and netting, it is a real treasure trove.

Stock consists of overruns, short lengths and everything ropes for the yachting and fishing communities and a real thrill for the rope jewellery creations.

I particularly like the black and white yachting cord as it mixes beautifully with coral and other bright elements.

Ropes are so versatile, they can be ethnic, when paired with cowrie and beads for an African princess, edgy, when metal and wood are combined for an urban fashion addict or Boho, when adding Coral, turquoise and shell for a beach babe.
Transforming this humble material into a stylish adornment is my favourite challenge.
